To solve this issue, firstly make sure you have installed the WCF activation features.

Also you have installed Windows Server 2008 R2 + SP1 , you need to install the Microsoft .NET Framework 4 KB2468871

I never have any trouble checking voicemail either through Vonage's website or the phone. If you are getting a page that states Sorry, an error has occurred. Please try again later. that can be generated for any number of reasons.

in my case, the root cause is due to missing Microsoft.Xrm.sdk.deployment.dll in bin folder as described here:
